I’m Matt Burns, and I coach men who want to level up their strength, fitness, and discipline - especially those who feel like they’ve still got a lot more in the tank.
I’ve been a PT for 4 years, backed by over a decade of experience leading teams in corporate sales and customer service. Combine that with my background as a BJJ athlete and my current journey into ultra running, and you get a coaching approach that’s direct, adaptable, and built on real-world experience - not trends or recycled programmes.
I mainly work with men 30+ who want to feel athletic again or finally experience the structured, competitive training environment they’ve missed. My focus is simple: raise your ceiling. Get you stronger, fitter, and more resilient - with longevity built into the plan, not short-term hype.
I’m a Level 3 PT and BJJ coach, but what defines my coaching is how I work with people. I read you quickly. I know when to push, when to support, and when a bit of well-timed piss-taking will get you moving. The sessions stay competitive, focused, and enjoyable - that “proper gym” vibe a lot of men miss.
If you train here, expect real progress, rising standards, and a coach who genuinely cares about you becoming harder to break - physically and mentally. This is training that challenges you, sharpens you, and reminds you exactly what you’re capable of.
"Working out with Matt at Omega has been a real life changer! I've lost 20kg, improved my posture, and feel more energetic and stronger than ever. His guidance and support have made all the difference. Very grateful for the progress I've made thanks to his expertise, encouragement and the occasional needed bollocking."

"I started my journey just over 3 years ago and it was the best choice I made. I feel more confident, comfortable and happy in myself since having Matt as my coach. My habits have changed and I'm able to live a better life. He has taught me about not only how to train but also how to manage eating habits for the better. Would recommend Matt to anyone who is thinking of beginning their fitness journey too."
